Why Choose our Kids Yoga Camp?

Lindsay is Bringing Back Kids Yoga Camp for Summer 2026

In looking ahead to summer 2026, juggling and sorting plans, it was undeniable I (Lindsay) wanted to lead Kids Yoga Camp Year 2.

For five days last summer, I was lucky enough to begin each day with the hopeful innocence of childhood. In through the studio doors came 6 sweet souls (some with sleep still in their eyes) grinning, curious, and with clear excitement for what our morning together had in store.

If I was to give last summer’s Kids Yoga Camp a color it would be a vibrant, vivid yellow. The color of joy, confidence, and warmth — the one linked to our solar plexus chakra.

If I was to give last summer’s yoga camp a song it would be Summer Energy by Jeppe Reil. Bubbly and upbeat, just as the kids were throughout our time together.

What We Do at Kids Yoga Camp

Each day we began fresh, with the morning dew still resting on the grass outside, with:

  • check-ins (how had their night before gone and how were they feeling now)
  • chakra chats (how those little “wheels” of energy can affect our physical and emotional well-being)
  • a kiddo-friendly yoga flow including breathwork

And then:

  • play (games like yoga pose four corners and freeze dance)
  • creative expression

We filled lavender eye pillows, painted stones in the sunshine, acted out Mary Oliver’s poem The Summer Day, and learned why the warrior poses are called Warrior Poses.

Have you ever laid contentedly after time outside and listened to sound bowls? We did. And it was tangible how the energy shifted in the room. An unexpected, welcome respite.

Some of these things we will do again because it was delightful watching the kids appreciate them.

Benefits of Yoga for Kids

Studies consistently show us that yoga teaches kids about their body, their breath, and their energy. How to calm a busy mind, improve their strength and flexibility (body and mind), and cope with “big” feelings like worry, sadness, and overwhelm.

Happy? Do yoga.
Sad? Do yoga.
Tired? Do yoga.
Lonely? Do yoga.
Excited? Do yoga.
Busy body who can’t sit still? Do yoga.

Why Movement and Play Matter for Children

But here is the biggest takeaway I hope to convey here: yoga is fun.

Movement is fun.

Music, dancing, playing, laughing, and even listening to engaging storytelling are all FUN.

I’m eager to see new faces this July as well as any returning smiles. Let’s do this.

About Our Kids Yoga Camp

Please note: This is not a spiritual or religious camp, nor is it a space of unreasonable expectations on a child with youthful energies. It’s a time for kids to learn, play, create, and grow in the company of others curious and excited just like them. All are welcome here.

Early bird pricing ends June 1.

Sibling discounts available.
