At its essence, Ayurveda teaches us to lean into our intuitive self, to love and honor who we are, not as who people think or tell us who or how we should be.

Feminine Form Medicine

Ayurveda will change your life.

Ayurveda {Aye-your-vay-duh}, from a feminine form approach, is steeped in practices + rituals that not only make you feel adored, radiant, and healthy, but also create a body, mind, and heart primed for bliss and spiritual enlightenment.

Ayurveda is the sacred knowledge and science of life. It is a 5,000 year old system with time tested wisdom, like your grandmother’s medicine. You were born into this perfect combination of the elements. Through your own life experiences, environments, and karmas, these elements get our of balance.

Because we all made up of unique amounts of the elements and particular patterns of energy, there is no “one size fits all” approach in Ayurveda. When the body is out of balance, integrating Ayurvedic practices brings freedom, simplicity, and encourages the body, mind, and spirit come back into harmony.

Perfect health is to be situated within yourself.

Health, swastha, is like the pulsation of breathing – in and out. Like sex, birthing, like day and night, the seasons… do you see? All that you are is to be situated in who you really are. When you hear the word swastha spoken aloud, you’ll hear that the second syllable has a stop in it. Like, a hard stah (stop). Like, this is where you are.

Health is a becoming steady, being in communion with your own body.

When we bring Ayurveda intertwined with Tantra, we begin to take refuge in something that is infinite within. This is where the magic weaves in..

We have found that one-time consultations are only helpful after one has deeper understanding of their constitution and has developed a stronger Ayurvedic foundation. What is feminine-form Ayurveda?

Food. Sleep. Sex.

When you are able to tune into the rhythm within, the divine cosmos within, the shakti, the divine feminine (that all genders have), you are able to deeply connect and awaken your inner and ancient knowing.

In Ayurveda, these are the three pillars of health for living an abundant and radiant life. When these three are cared for according to your body type, dosha, the ancient teachings say that you will live a long healthy life without disease. woohoo!

the elements + energies

Dosha: Your Unique Body Type

We are all made of the five elements: water, earth, air, ether, fire. Because each person has different amount of each element and how it plays in the body, we are uniquely different. What supports one person, might cause imbalance in another. Ayurveda sees each person in three categories/body types, called doshas. We are born with certain elements, and also we experience excess or depletion of the elements according to what happens in life. Therefore, we are always pulsing in and out of balance.

Who you are at your core, never changes. Understanding yourself can offer you such profound insight. Here’s a brief overview of each dosha:

Vata

AIR + ETHER

Qualities: lightness, movement, change, roughness, quickness and dryness.
Physiological: Force behind the nervous system, respiration and elimination.
Imbalanced Vata: Dry skin, constipation, premature wrinkles, anxiety, fear or a general feeling of being spaced out.
Balanced Vata: Enthusiasm for life. Excellent healers, inspired writers and artists, and enthusiastic speakers

Pitta

FIRE + WATER

Qualities: sharpness, oiliness, lightness and instability.
Physiological: digestion and metabolism
Imbalanced Pitta: fever, loose stools, skin rash or acne, or the heated emotions of anger and frustration. We become overly critical and compulsive.
Balanced Pitta: On the plane of the mind and spirit, pitta carries the gift of discernment that can cut through the smokescreen, allowing you to see a situation clearly.

Kapha

EARTH + WATER

Qualities: stability, heaviness, wetness and coolness
Physiological: force behind the lymphatic system and the mucus membranes
Imbalanced Kapha: Hard time losing excess weight, and can gain easily. Quality of holding on can turn into gripping or a codependent attachment.
Balanced Kapha: Luscious, well-lubricated, sturdy and dependable

Ayurveda is the the grandmother medicine

Steeped in ancient practices + rituals that  help you feel adored, radiant, and healthy.

Whether you’re experiencing digestive issues, insomnia, fatigue, stress, anxiety, or more serious and chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes or asthma, Ayurveda was built to unearth the root cause of dis-ease and address it head on with simple dietary and lifestyle changes, customized for YOU.

Jill’s approach to Ayurveda is from an intuitive and listening space. There is no one to “fix”, nor a specific herb that will be the miracle cure. In this way, Ayurveda holds you with gentleness and releases from structured “rules”. This allows for more space in your life, rather than filling it more (even if it is with good things).

Come let yourself feel alive within the flow, enjoy the pleasures within the temple of your body, and ease into grace and love through the lens of feminine-form Ayurveda.

What to expect in an Ayurvedic Consultation

We will come together virtually or in-person for 3-6 sessions, meeting once every 2-3 weeks. This gives enough space to integrate practices and re-assess your protocols during our time together.

Step One: Comprehensive Intake Consultation

48-hours before our Initial Consultation, you will fill out a detailed intake form. This allows time to review and prepare for your session. Once together, we will discuss your entire health history. This gives you the opportunity to safely share past and present state of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

Step Two: Review of Elemental Findings

Based on the initial intake consultation and my evaluation, we will meet about one week after your initial consult where you will receive a treatment plan. This is your blueprint of your unique constitution, what elements are at play, how imbalances are manifesting, and your true state of health.

In this thorough 60-minute session, you will receive:

  • Tongue diagnosis
  • Review of digestion and elimination pathways as well as other bodily systems.
  • Assessment of psychological well being and immunity
  • An exploration of your doshic prakriti (original state of constitution) + vikriti (current state of imbalance) in the context of season, age, and physiological dynamics.
  • Strategies for current ailments and challenges
  • Specific protocols for diet and lifestyle practices including meditation, breath work, yoga, and other intuitive therapies such as aromatherapy, sound healing, chakra balancing, and Reiki.

You will receive a treatment plan that addresses both short and long-term goals. This will assist you on your journey back to harmony, health and well-being. We will start small and gradually add practices over time in our follow-up wellness sessions.

Step Three: Follow-Up Wellness Sessions

Following the two initial sessions, we will meet every 2-3 weeks (60 minute sessions) to discuss your progress and adjust the treatment plan if needed. This gives you time to implement suggested protocols, noting what has been supportive and what hasn’t. Depending on the client’s needs, some sessions you might experience intuitive therapies, such as energy healing, essential oils, meditation, or even yoga asanas.

Also included:

  • Support: Email/text support in between appointments.
  • Discounts: on Ayurvedic products, herbs, oils, spices, and other services.

Spiritual disconnection is the root cause of disease

Ayurveda does a brilliant job on offering practices to help live in this human body. But most importantly, how are you nourishing your spirit? There are practices for ancestral healing, practices to connect to the divine and this ancient wisdom, and practices to support your energetic realm that is within you and surrounds you.

Ayurveda is not a religion, and honors your spiritual/religious practices. We meet you where you are to help deepen what supports you most.

What health concerns can Ayurveda address?

Ayurveda is a holistic science that looks at the root of illness and disease. Because of this unique approach, we can address a wide range of issues in the body and mind. Here are a few of the common reasons people seek an Ayurvedic consultation (note this list is not comprehensive):

  • Digestive issues (for example, IBS, Crohn’s, diverticulitis, constipation, diarrhea)
  • Hormone imbalance (PMS, symptoms of menopause)
  • Weight loss
  • Improving diet
  • Infertility, pregnancy and postpartum support
  • Mental illness
  • Emotional issues
  • Autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions
  • Addiction recovery
  • Eating disorders (for example, restricting eating, overeating, addiction to sugar, emotional eating).
  • Stress and anxiety reduction
  • Chronic fatigue and sleep support
  • Improving skin issues (eczema, acne, dry skin, psoriasis)
  • Allergies to food or environment
